Heidi Klum on the August 2011 Cover of Glamour Magazine
Heidi talks about Project Runway, Style, and what makes her happy.
Photographed by Matthias Vriens-McGrath in West Hollywood and New York City, Heidi Klum appears on Glamour’s August cover wearing a sparkling Stella McCartney tank, MiH jeans, Banana Republic belt, Wildlife by Heidi Klum bracelet and ring, Hermès watch, and bracelets by Giles & Brother and Luis Morais.
On the inside bonus cover, Heidi sports J Brand jeans, Patricia Underwood hat, and Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. And from her inside spread, Heidi wears a Isabel Marant jacket, BL33N.com T-shirt, pink Maison Martin Margiela jeans,a black Dsquared2 hat, and Giles & Brother leather and hematite bracelet.
Check out what Heidi shared with Glamour:
On the longevity of Project Runway…
“I’m going to be 80, walking with a stick down the runway.”
On being the aggressor in a relationship…
“I’m not someone who plays hard to get. This whole thing about “Oh, let’s exchange numbers” and then people wait four or five days before they call you? I don’t see the point. If you feel something, why would you let that pass? You only live once.”
On keeping things alive in the bedroom…
“There’s nothing wrong with a nice garter belt. I’m not saying you have to put up a pole in your bedroom and start swinging off the rafters. But I love that sometimes!”
On when she finds hubby Seal the hottest…
“Always. He’s even hot when he’s sleeping. He’s a beautiful man. He’s kind, he’s a gentleman, and I watched him last night onstage, and he still rocks it. I’m like, “Yeah, that’s my man!”
On whether Tim Gunn ever gives her style advice…
“He hasn’t. He’s so polite—he would never say, ‘Why are you wearing that?’ Michael [Kors] is a little bit more...well, he always jokes with me. He says that my skirts are really short. He calls it fallopian length. He teases me.”

Project Runway Fashion Show Field Report from Trish O'Shea
BPR Field Reporter Trish O'Shea attended this morning's event and sends us this report. Thanks Trish!
I love summer vacation!
As a teacher, I'm able to attend an early morning Project Runway event in New York City on a whim! Project Runway hosted a "live runway challenge event" this morning in Battery Park City, mostly as a promotion for the Season 9 premiere on July 28.
Since my boyfriend works in Manhattan, I got up early and headed "downtown" with him. I was at the site by around 7 a.m. (two hours before it was scheduled to start.) I was told to "hang around" because the line would be forming soon, but I decided to find a store to grab two things - breakfast and an umbrella!
I got back around 7:30 and one of the people in charge told myself and the few others waiting around that the best place to view the show would be at the playground, which was elevated and situated just above the press viewing area. The spot worked out fine, except that I couldn't hear what the judges said to the press before the show started.
The show was scheduled to start at 9, but at exactly 9 a.m., it began to rain steadily. Since we were right on the water, it was cool and a bit breezy. The crew did a fantastic job keeping everything dry and once they got rid of the paper towels and got real towels, the runway was safe for the girls to walk on as the rain stopped as the judges made their way to the press area. The designers arrived next, led by Tim Gunn. Once Heidi said, "Let's get this started before the rain starts again!" things got underway!

BPR Interview with Gretchen Jones
Project Runway Season 8 Champion, Gretchen Jones talks to BPR about all she has been doing since the season ended. Thanks Gretchen!
BPR: Part of the prize package for season 8 was the opportunity to design a collection to sell on Piperlime.com. Are you working on this collection? Any idea when it will be available?
GJ: My TOP SECRET collection for Piperlime is in production and will be revealed and available mid July!!
BPR: How have you spent your prize money?
GJ: I chose to spend my money putting together a solid team of support, including an incredible Lawyer, CPA and all in one support service helping me launch my eponymous sportswear label 'Gretchen Jones.' Investing in myself and my future meant being wise about how to spend my money, investing in my business, rather than spending frivolously on say...clothes;)

Click here for a new interview with Project Runway Season 6 designer, Christopher Straub, from "Intown Rundown."
Here is a highlight:
You won the first challenge of the season, with Lindsay Lohan as a guest judge. I want to hear all about the judges!
C: I definitely loved having Lindsay Lohan there. She liked my dress so obviously I like her! We actually didn’t really get to meet (the judges) but it was great to see them. Like, Christina Aguilera was on our season but we didn’t actually get to hug her, or talk to her or anything like that. They keep the judges really separate from the contestants.
You did get to work with Tim Gunn. What is he like?
C: That was a side-by-side kind of thing – that was really wonderful. He’s exactly how he seems on the show. Very nurturing, very helpful but he lets you think for yourself.
What do you think about the way you were portrayed on TV?
C: I actually felt really good about what they made my character on the show. A lot of my friends had come up to me after the program aired and said, “I was worried that on television you’d be a whole different person,” but they all felt like they were just watching me. So everything that I said, did, my mannerisms, they didn’t manipulate me to be someone I’m not and they didn’t really edit out any of my personality. I feel really fortunate actually!
