Reactions To Episode 10

Tim Gunn reached his breaking point tonight in the workroom and it was not pretty. What did you think of the challenge and the results? Post your reactions to Episode 10 here.

BPR Party: Episode 10

Well, it looks like we are in for a bit of a trainwreck tonight as Tim Gunn loses his cool in the workroom. It's a dangerous "real woman" challenge for the final six and these always tend to provide more drama than necessary. The BPR party crew doesn't care about any of that, we're just here for the snark and the fun! Click on the comment tab to join the party.

Project Runway All-Star Designers at FashioNXT in Portland Oct. 7-10

SethAaron Henderson, Michelle Lesniak, Mondo Guerra and Viktor Luna are showing their newest designs at FashioNXT in Portland this week.

Seth Aaron spoke with us today about the event.

A highlight:

BPR:  Seth, how many seasons have you participated in the FashioNXT event?

SH:  This is my fifth year!

BPR:  What keeps you coming back?

SH:  First, the founder, Tito, has become a good friend.  It is his passion to make it great.  He loves it.  He gives it everything he's got.  And, in return it makes us want to do the same.

BPR:  How many looks are you showing this season?

SH:  We are keeping it down to ten.  There are three of us showing on Saturday night and you get us plus thirty models and everything else backstage and it can get kind of hectic.  Ten looks is enough.  Just like on Project Runway, you have to get your point of view across in ten looks - you have to be thoughtful fillers!

If any of our readers is able to attend, we would love a field report!

BPR Interview with Laurie Underwood

Project Runway Season 14 designer, Laurie Underwood talks about her experience on the show.

A highlight:

BPR:  I have a reader questions from Patrick:  "You've mentioned what an inspiration your daughter Journe is to your design work. What was your favorite childhood outfit?"

LU:  Probably the hot pink and black dresses that my mother made for myself and my older sister.

BPR: So you mom sewed too!   Do you make your daughter's clothes?

LU:  Not as much as people probably think.

BPR:  Who is your best friend from the cast?

LU:  That would be Ashley Nell Tipton.

BPR:  Have you remained in touch?

LU:  Yes, of course, at least once a week.

Reactions To Episode 9

The Project Runway designers went to school tonight to create an outfit that could be sold online. What did you think of the challenge and results? Post your reactions to Episode 9 here.

BPR Party: Episode 9

Settle down now, class! "Yes, Mr. Weinstein." Now I have a very important lesson for all of you "designers" today. So far this semester, we have learned that I own all of your work and creative output. Those pretty papers you signed prior to filming have given me complete control of your mind, bodies and souls.

No Swapnil, you may not use the restroom! I'm tired of you setting off the fire alarm in there. You may only smoke in front of the cameras from here on out!

Now then. The word for today is DRAMA.  I don't really care what you create today, just do it in a way that elicits an emotional response from one of your fellow coworkers, er designers, or the judges. Extra credit if any of you can piss off Tim. Got it?

"Yes, Mr. Weinstein"...

Kate took a moment to speak with us as she prepares to present her 2016 bridal collection in NYC next week.  Thank you Kate!

KP:  Well I jumped right back in and began working on my 2016 collection for Elaya Vaughn which I am presenting in New York next week.

BPR:  I know that you are busy preparing to present your collection on October 8th at the NYC Night of Fashion.  Please tell us about the event.
