Introducing your opportunity to "Ask Mindy" any questions about the Bluefly accessories used on each episode.
Our first question is from Jennifer F.
I write because I am DYING to buy the shoes that Monique was wearing on episode 9 - and I can't find out who the designer is/ where to get them? Any way you could help me out here? Many thanks - Jennifer
Those were great shoes - the Report Signature black leather 'Downey 2' cut-out pump with 4½'' patent stiletto heel. Unfortunately the style is sold out, but there are several similar styles still available.
Project Runway recapper extraordinnaire Jennifer Eolin, aka The New Old Biddy, made a rare appearance on the streets of New York without her trademark hoodie. She was off to meet her idol! Would she piddle her pants? Squeal like the fangirl we all know she is? Don't miss her post on meeting Tim Gunn.
Project Runway taps into some serious Hollywood star power this week with guest judge Jessica Alba. It is setting up to be the most intriguing episode of the season with the promised return of an aufed designer and the answer to the Maya Mystery. This is one you don't want to miss!
Miranda Cosgrove (star of iCarly) wears a Christian Siriano design to the Nickelodeon's 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards Show last night in Los Angeles.
When I learned that Korto was coming to Scottsdale, of course I wanted to get together. She was signing autographs at Dillard's from 3:00 - 6:00. When I arrived, I heard the announcement over the intercom introducing Korto and inviting shoppers to the handbag department.
She wasn't hard to find because of all the flashbulbs going off. There were two adorable models wearing Korto's handbags and jewelry designs. Music was playing and refreshments were set up. It was great.
At 6:00 we packed up and Korto joined me in the family mini-van for the quick trip to Fnb for dinner. We enjoyed a delicious meal and some lively discussion with Korto sharing lots of scoop about season five, the All-Star Challenge and her thoughts on season seven. It was a lot of fun. My daughter Kaitlin joined us as well as Janice and Amanda - both fans of Project Runway and especially of Korto.
After dinner I took her to the airport for her return flight. Wish we had more time!
I attended the Liz Claiborne fashion show in Houston this afternoon, starring none other than our very own Tim Gunn! The show featured designs from Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, and Lucky Brand Jeans, and Tim was on-hand to talk us through all the styles and accessories featured in the show. He gave honest critiques about the clothes (mentioning constantly how the models are not the average woman) and even styled the models on the runway to show us how a look can be transformed with simple accessories. As always, he emphasized the importance of finding fashion that fits your body and talked us through a few of his essentials for every woman's closet.
The Q&A was by far the most exciting part of the show! Tim answered two PR-related questions, involving the future of the show and the move to Los Angeles. As he mentioned in an interview with the Houston Chronicle earlier this week, Tim talked about how he felt the show was getting "a little predictable, and a little stale", but quickly followed up by saying that "what isn't predictable or stale is the talent". While he didn't discuss specific changes, Tim stated (quite correctly in my opinion) that "the show needs to trail blaze again, and I'm committed to doing that".
He went on to discuss the move to LA, and how it was mostly done to accommodate Heidi's family. However, he doesn't believe the show will make a return trip, to which the audience loudly applauded.
If you have the chance to see Tim as he treks across the country, make every effort to do it! It was a pleasure seeing him "in his element" offering his opinions on this season's trends.
Mila Hermanovsky was among the featured designers at FGI's "The Designers and Their Muses" party. Brandise Daneswich is her lovely muse and model. Click here for more from the LA Times.
Attention Houston - Tim Gunn will be at The Galleria today. Click here for more information and to read a new interview. A highlight: We really need to give the show a boost and lift. We've talked about it as recently last week because I'm really finding it to be stale. It's been seven seasons. We have to invigorate the show. Other than some really stunning work that's been created this season, it's become a stale format. We are working to change that.
So this is what happened to Maya? Lifetime pretty much gives up the ghost to the question we've been asking ever since the fashion week finale filming. But they have added yet another riddle. Who is coming back?
Attention Phoenix: Project Runway Season Five "Fan Favorite" Korto Momolu will be at Dillard's in the Scottsdale Fashion Square from 3:00 - 6:00 this afternoon.

Michael Kors returned this week to whisper sweet nothings into Nina's ear. Each elimination gets more and more intense as we wind our way down to the final three. What did you think about tonight's episode? Did the judges get this one right?
Hello there party people! Another new episode of Project Runway is on tap tonight and of course that means the party room is open. Join Runway fans from across the land as we snark our way through Episode 10. The competition is getting serious now that we are down to our last seven. Who will be cleaning up their workspace tonight?
Actress Emmy Rossum wore this lovely dress from Christian's Spring 2010 Collection to the Ecco Domani Fashion Party at The Ainsworth on March 24, 2010 in New York City.
You just can't trust the editing in PR previews any more. I was totally convinced that Anthony and Maya weren't playing nice in the workroom last week based on the preview and changed my Fantasy line up. I'm still happy with my total score, though. Jonathan, Seth Aaron and Madame Mila did well for me. How did you do?
This week's challenge looks like a lot of fun with the designers using technology to design fabric patterns. This will separate the designers from the home sewers. And will we get any clues why Maya didn't show at Fashion Week but instead sat in the front rows of the shows?
I haven't picked a new team yet. I imagine I won't make up my mind until I get to the Party Room at 9:30. Maybe my current three will do well. Any suggestions?
Chinatown, East Village, Upper East Side, Harlem A look for day and a look for evening. $300 Here we go!!
Leaders are: Anthony, who picks Maya: Chinatown, Amy who chooses Johnathan: Upper East Side, Emilio picks Seth Aaron: Harlem and Jay gets Mila: East Village. The way these team challenges have gone in the past, the leader goes home on a poor design.
Guess what? This is my favorite episode of the season so far. Incorporating different neighborhoods in New York was such a fantastic idea! I love the makeup, especially the day Harlem look. I hadn't thought about wearing yellow eye makeup very often, but now I want to really bad! Way to go, Collier!
Why does Vivienne Tam look so unhappy? It's a perfectly beautiful digital butterfly. We will all learn the source of that scowl tonight on Episode 10: "Hey, That's My Fabric". (And no, we didn't just make that ridiculous title up) Team BPR will have its usual lineup of Project Runway fun for your viewing pleasure:
Live Play By Play with Tbone and suzq beginning at 10:00 p.m., pre-game at 9:30 p.m.
BPR's "Hey, That's our Party Room" opens at 9:30 p.m.
Reactions post immediately after the show
With seven designers competing for three spots in the finale, things are getting tight. Will any light be shed on the Maya mystery? We'll see you tonight on BPR!

After the fashion show, Tim and Kaitlin and I went to a nearby pool bar where we were soon joined by my husband Ken as well as Leah Caruso and other members of "Team Liz."
The weather here is perfection. Everyone (including the staff) is in bathing suits or shorts except for Tim who remains in his black pinstriped suit and silver tie.
Tim graciously agreed to an interview and he also signed some items for our next contest. Thank you Tim!
LK: Tim, what was it like to arrive at the mall and to see your face on dozens of posters?
TG: Surreal.
LK: Would you like Joan Rivers to serve as a judge on Project Runway?
TG: No.
LK: How about Michelle Obama?
TG: YES!! And there might be a Washington DC-related challenge in season eight...
Tim Gunn visited Scottsdale on Saturday for a Liz Claiborne fashion show and Kaitlin and I were there for the fun. Three Liz brands were featured: Kate Spade New York, Juicy Couture and Lucky Brand Jeans.
Tim's colleague, Leah Caruso shared the moderating duties and everything ran beautifully. There were many looks - something for everyone - and the models were adorable.
The seats were completely filled and there were many people standing. More filled the balcony above. After the fashion show, Tim answered questions from the crowd.
Afterward, guests got in line for photos with Tim and refreshments. We also received autographed gift bags. I have some really great things for an upcoming contest. We had a lovely day. More to follow....

Our friends at Second City Style have scored a new interview with Nina Garcia.
Maya Luz's designs have scored in the top three FIVE times and she has never been in the bottom three. This makes her the most consistent designer in season seven. But will she ever WIN a challenge?
