Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y

Greetings Project Runway Super Fans,

I'm so glad we are called Super Fans because this season was Super and just plain fun. It was great seeing the designers back in the Big Apple and Michael and Nina in their director's chairs where they belong.

Great guest judges, a couple of field trips and interesting materials kept me watching. But it was the cast of talented, charming designers that engaged me week after week. These are people we can care about. Stay tuned to BPR and watch how far they'll soar.

Picking the winner has had me on pins and needles all week long but I've made up my mind. Seth Aaron will take it all. This guy can sew and and he has a point of view that is all his own. Let's hear it for the boy!

See you in the Party Room tonight.

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y

Greetings Project Runway Super Fans,

I was disappointed last week. Nina Garcia didn't show up to judging wearing big clown shoes, but it was a great episode anyway. Emilio's gown really hit the mark and how much fun was it having Anthony around for a bonus episode? Maybe he'll be back again as a helper during the finale episodes tonight and next week.

Each season I make picks for the finale and I'm happy to say I thought Seth Aaron and Emilio would go all the way. I've never done so well before. My final spot? Let's hear it for the boy! Jay Nicholas Sario will edge out Ms. Mila for a guy's sweep of the top three spots.

See you tonight in the Party Room!

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y

Hello, Super Fans.

Who's ready for fashion? In a nod to the circus theme of the challenge, I'm hoping Nina wears a pair of big clown shoes and HRH Michael sports a red rubber nose. I have one if he needs to borrow it.

There's buzz out there that this episode is a double elimination. I've thought that was coming all season so I'm ready for it. Anyone agree with that theory? Remember Marla and Diana?

But the scoop I'm liking is that it is a single elimination saying bye bye to one more designer and sending four designers home to design collections for Fashion Week. But, a la Rami vs Chris, only three will get to show (except that we know 10 of them already showed. It's confusing. And whatever you do, don't mention that to Gordana like I did.) And that might mean a walk off of a few looks before Fashion Week. Also makes sense to me with history repeating itself. Chris really pushed the envelope on that one.

I'm looking forward to the circus challenge which should be a hoot and a great field trip for the designers. They stepped in mud for the feedbag challenge. I can't imagine what they'll step in at the circus.

Now for a Fantasy League team. I scored negative points last week so I'm hanging my head in shame. Right now I have Jay, Mila and Seth Aaron. I haven't always been loyal to Jay, but I am not an Emilio fan and Anthony's return is too good to be true. I feel like I'm being set up.

See you all in the party room at 9:20 Mark Y Time. Oh, by the way. If any of you haven't purchased your Season Six DVD, do so. I'm enjoying it immensely. Something about the second time around and it's a lot of fun. Now if only the DVD Gods would listen to me and include all the decoy collections starting with Austin's as a bonus feature!

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y - Episode 11

Ouch. I'm still smarting in sympathy for Jonathan from last week's judging. Anyone else still feeling his pain? He gave back as good as he got. I thought his pale print looked like rain drops, not stains. I'm also a fan of Emilio's monogram print but not the dress. I would have picked SA for the win but the judges never ask me. How about you?

Have you seen the previews for tonight's mystery? All the speculation and theories. And, don't forget - today is April Fool's Day so don't believe everything you see or hear. I never trust the editing, especially of reaction shots, anyway.

So who do you think will be the winner? Which designer returns? Why does Tim talk to SA on the QT? Maya, call a press conference already!

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y

You just can't trust the editing in PR previews any more. I was totally convinced that Anthony and Maya weren't playing nice in the workroom last week based on the preview and changed my Fantasy line up. I'm still happy with my total score, though. Jonathan, Seth Aaron and Madame Mila did well for me. How did you do?

This week's challenge looks like a lot of fun with the designers using technology to design fabric patterns. This will separate the designers from the home sewers. And will we get any clues why Maya didn't show at Fashion Week but instead sat in the front rows of the shows?

I haven't picked a new team yet. I imagine I won't make up my mind until I get to the Party Room at 9:30. Maybe my current three will do well. Any suggestions?

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y

I have to say that I like our Project Runway best when the designers get along with each other because they crack jokes between themselves and they're just funnier. And this week we learn that Anthony thinks that Maya is pretty! That's nice, right? Whether she stays or goes, I hope we're closer to finding out why she didn't show at Fashion Week, don't you?

The previews have sparked a controversy because HRH Michael isn't pictured sitting in the judge's seat. I think he's playing a role other than judge and we'll see him in another capacity. Anyone with me on this scenario? Discuss.

Last week I did well with the M&Ms and Seth Aaron and I'm grateful to each of them for my 19 points. Speaking of points ... tally by remaining designer looks like this > Amy (26), Anthony (25), Emilio (19), Jay (51), Jonathan (31), Maya (32), Mila (37) and SA (35).

Team challenges are never a love fest. Maybe this will be the first double elimination since Marla and Diana slipped on a banana in Season Two. My picks are Jonathan, Seth Aaron and Mila. Unless I change my mind before 9:00 EST.

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y

I might as well be wearing bell bottoms and a Members Only jacket based upon my showing in the Fantasy Game last week. One point! Beyond embarrassing. Its no fun picking the winner and the loser. How did you do?

This week is another inspiration challenge. Not envy, not art, not life on the street. This time air, earth, fire, and water, elements essential to many philosophies and cultures, and certainly to those with creative souls.

Will one designer's look be hot or simply a hot mess? Whose look will leave you feeling cold? Will the judges say one designer is all wet?

I'm betting on Maya, Mila and Seth Aaron to bring me BIG points on the runway.

See you all in the BPR Party Room at 9:30.

Greetings PR SuperFans,

This week's challenge is to design a look for the fall collection of She By Sheree! I'd love that wouldn't you? Can you imagine what a great guest judge Sheree would be? She has a lot of fashion cred, getting dressed every day and all.

I can't wait for the eye rolling and shoulder shrugs when the designers arrive at a hardware store for a fast dash up and down the aisles to fashion their looks. Want to bet at least one designer will say something like "I myself prefer to work with better quality fabrics?" If I were a designer, I'd grab the paint color cards for my look. And I hope we see at least one lampshade on a model's head.

The preview seems to place Jay, Anthony and Maya in the runway spotlight but I never trust the editing of reaction shots on PR. I only wish that Jesus Estrada hadn't been eliminated earlier because I saw him in NYC during Fashion Week and he was wearing a pair of seriously studded gloves so I think he would have rocked this challenge.

How about you? Who will you choose for your fantasy team? See you all in the Party Room Thursday night at 9:30.

P.S. It's not too late to join the "PR Superfans Group."

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y - Week 3

Greetings, Fantasy Fashionistas!

In Week Three of the Project Runway Fantasy Game, the designers will be seeing red it seems. Red fabric that is, in an inspiring challenge with everyday women whose lives have been impacted by heart disease. Good for Project Runway for raising awareness in a fashionable way. The all red challenge evens the playing field as well.

How are you all scoring? Some players are picking well with 50-plus points. I scored big last week thanks to a smart pick - Mila. Odds are one of the boys will say bye bye this week, and any way, as delightful as he is, Anthony hasn't been scoring well, I'm sorry to say. I'll sit him and Emilio on the Blue Fly Accessory Wall and re-fit the team with Amy and Anna. I think Anna will be our next sleeper success. I've liked all of her looks so far.

The PRSuperfan team continues to grow. KarlinW, swisschocolate, and inthisguise have just joined in the last few days. BPR regulars Suzq, TropicalChrome, SewLikeTheWind and John C have been on board from the beginning. See you all in the Party Room as ususal!

Project Runway Fantasy Game Update from Mark Y

Photo: Lifetime

It's time for Week Two in the Project Runway Fantasy Game. The designers will have lots to say this week - the first team challenge of the season. And you know they always hate that. With all the sniping and griping you're bound to pick up points for one of the many quote categories. So pick your team now. Points, points, points.

Congrats to PR Superfan team member BedHead, our leader with 25 points. Picking Jay, Emilio and Anna, BedHead scored with a win and two ins, plus a couple of quotes and at least one discouraging word, oh my. It couldn't have been burlap. A win in this scoring scenario is kind of like the fashion equivalent of a double word score in Scrabble. Points for being in and the win!

Click here for a rundown of how points are scored.

I, on the other hand, being only as fashionable as the Banana Republic sale corner, tallied a total of two. On my team were Anna, Anthony and Emilio. I'm sticking with my boys but saying so long to Anna and welcoming Mila. I believe she'll get lots of camera time.

You're not on the team? Its not too late. Click here to join other PRSuperFans!
