BPR Interview with Project Runway All-Star, Kate Pankoke

Kate took a moment to speak with us as she prepares to present her 2016 bridal collection in NYC next week.  Thank you Kate!

A highlight:

BPR:  First please catch us up on what you have been doing since we last saw you in Season Four of All-Stars.

KP:  Well I jumped right back in and began working on my 2016 collection for Elaya Vaughn which I am presenting in New York next week.

BPR:  I know that you are busy preparing to present your collection on October 8th at the NYC Night of Fashion.  Please tell us about the event.

KP:  I was invited by an organization called "Lolly's Locks" to be a part of this charity fashion show.  Lolly's Locks provides high-quality wigs to chemo patients who are not able to afford them.  I love that they are using fashion to heal and encourage people.

BPR Interview with Lindsey Creel

Project Runway Season 14 designer, Lindsey Creel talks about her experience on the show.

A highlight:

BPR:  Lindsey, our readers strongly disagree with your elimination....

LC:  I saw that - thank you so much...

BPR:  I'm so glad that you are reading BPR...

LC:  Of course!

BPR:  You are obviously very intelligent and talented, and you made it quite far in the competition.  If you could go back, is there anything that you would do differently?

LC:  Yes, of course.  But you can't go back and I am proud of the work that I put out.  Still, I look back and say, "What was I thinking?"

BPR:  I have a reader question from Patrick:  "We saw the beautiful painting of your great-grandmother in your home visit video and you mentioned how close you were to her. Can you speak to the influence she had on your design career?"

LC:   She actually taught me how to sew.  I lost her about two years ago - so I had her with me for about 26 years which is crazy I mean most people don't even have the chance to know their great-grandparents.  She was the most supportive person of anything I ever wanted to do or dream of or be.  We were super close.  She was an amazing woman.

BPR Interview with Joseph Charles Poli

Project Runway Season 14 designer, Joe Poli, talks about his experience on the show.

A highlight:

BPR:  Who is your best friend from the cast?

JCP:  Definitely Jake Wall.  We will be friends for life.

BPR:  Our readers are curious about Jake and his dog, Chance.  Did he have the opportunity to get home to be with Chance?

JCP:  Yes he did.  He got to go home and be with his dog before he passed.

BPR:  That was really heartbreaking...

JCP:  I know.  We all knew what he was going through that morning and it was hard to see Jake leave before his time, but he did the right thing and we all supported his decision.

BPR Interview with Blake Patterson

Project Runway Season 14 designer, Blake Patterson talks about his experience on the show.

A highlight:

BPR:  I have a reader question from Mark:  "Why didn't you choose Ashley in the team challenge?"  Why didn't ANYONE choose Ashley?

BP:  What was going through my mind was the previous challenge where Swapnil was up on the runway with me at the end.  He really encouraged me to continue with my idea for the Mary Kay challenge.  I mean of course I wanted Ashley on my team!  I thought everyone would pick her!  I was surprised at the end when Merline was chosen over Ashley.  I was completely dumbfounded.

BPR Interview with Amanda Perna

Project Runway Season 14 designer, Amanda Perna, talks about her experience on the show.

A highlight:

BPR:  I have a reader question from Amy - where is the new workroom located?  How far away was it from Mood?  Why do you think you only went to Mood once in the first five challenges?

AP:  The new workroom is in a beautiful space in Queens.  It was gorgeous, I wanted to move right in.  It was pretty far from Mood, but they set up our own "Mini-Mood" so we always had plenty to choose from.

BPR:  Did you watch last week's episode?

AP:  Honestly I have not watched it yet.  I still have to catch up.  I am very busy creating my Spring/Summer collection.  Obviously my friends and family have been watching so I think I have heard everything that happened.
