You created a flowing dress that Georgina Chapman called ethereal as she noted how happy your client looked. Michael Kors said your dress was elegant yet modern and admired how you handled the fabric noting the shine of the charmeuse through the chiffon. Nina Gracia also loved the fabric that you picked and stated that the gown was feminine. We agree with the judges that you picked the right silhouette for your girl. You judiciously used a soupçon of the branded fabric at the waistband while you rocked that Campbell's scarf headband yourself on the runway. Well played, Amy!

The visit to the museum seemed to energize you and and you stated that you felt that this challenge was your first chance to truly express your point of view. This was most assuredly a 'WOW' on the runway from the moment Lorena displayed the batwing silhouette showing off the color block construction for maximum effect. Matthew Williamson noted that your look was sportswear inspired, clean and graphic and you sold Heidi Klum for she would love to have that coat. Michael Kors applauded that you showed separates and the judges found the ensemble exciting and modern. Bravissima, Mila!

Congratulations, Jay

How does one transform the fabric of bumpkins and rubes and make it into a garment worthy of a fashion industry event? One would think it would require magic but not in your creative hands. You saw not the coarse nature of the cloth but the possibility to replicate 'feathers' when frayed. No smoke and mirrors were involved but as Lauren Hutton observed you managed to make burlap look expensive and light. The fitted bodice coupled with the flirty, ethereal froth of the skirt was noted by Heidi to be perfectly appropriate as a cocktail dress. This feminine look bewitched the judges and your client obviously was enchanted with level of sophistication you infused in this frock. Applause to Jay!

You wanted to show the judges that your point of view was about meticulous construction and perfect fit and you loved how your young and flirty cocktail dress "moved like a dream" on the runway. Nina Garcia mentioned how it would have great appeal on a hanger and that it looked expensive. Congratulations, Irina Shabayeva

"You are the winner of Project Runway." You heard that back in February. And thus we all waited 9 months for this win to be delivered. At that time no one had seen a single episode of the show. Both the audience and the judges were forced to look only at the clothing on the runway because we had seen nothing in the workroom. So in many ways this win feels very pure if that makes any sense.

You came to the finale with 3 wins under your belt and you brought us your interpretation of a modern warrior woman. Your point of reference was New York City and black was therefore the natural color choice. You told your story with a cohesive collection united by accessories and a play of textures. And it all looked expensive. Heidi Klum stated that your garments looked "modern with an edge" and that she would like to own a lot of the pieces. Michael Kors pointed out the showmanship you brought to the presentation and how you punctuated your show with the hats. Nina Garcia seemed very surprised by the t-shirts and how they brought an intimacy to the line. Your attention to detail was evident in every piece and the play of textures of the luxe fabrics kept the collection interesting. Congratulations on your win, Irina!

Congratulations, Althea

Collaborating with your model/muse Tanisha produced your first win in the "What a Woman Wants" challenge and you had to have been inspired to know that once again she was going to work your look this week. You keyed in on the paper bag waistline while playing with proportions in the trouser and over-sized sweater keeping the tank form-fitting. Heidi Klum lusted after those pants and called them genius while Nick Verreos said that they were impeccable. Nina Garcia remarked that the ensemble was comfortable and noted that your model clearly loved wearing it. Kerry Washington focused on the sweater and said that it was "just gorgeous." Everyone wanted this and that is the best compliment of all. Touché, Althea!

Before this challenge you were the only designer this season with repeat wins. In Season 5 only one designer went to Bryant Park having had 3 wins - Jerell Scott. Season 4 had only one thrice victor prior to Fashion Week - Christian Siriano. You demonstrated clearly this week that you are the one to beat with your look that would have been equally at home in Aspen, Sundance, Gstaad or Chamonix. With a tight deadline you created an ensemble that Nina Garcia said looked luxe. Michael Kors favored the sex appeal of your back detailing declaring it had runway power. Heidi Klum said you did an incredible job and made us want to sip champagne in a ski lodge. With that in mind, we toast you and your success this week. Salute, Irina!

You wanted to show the judges that you could push it further. Well, did you ever!?! This week's challenge involved going over the top - a place that you stated you never went. And you were able to go there despite the distracting hotness of Logan. You artfully placed the feathers and employed sequins in a way that belied your lack of experience with the materials. Heidi phrased your dress a wow and called it chic. Bob Mackie admired your play of textures of black and the sophistication that you brought to this gown while Nina Garcia said that it was glamorous. Christina Aguilera said that she could see herself in this look and that it would show well on stage. You proved to yourself and to the judges that you know how, when and how much to push it and that the view from over-the-top is spectacular. Fabulous triumph, Carol Hannah!

Week after week we are floored by the complexity of your garments' construction; you are never satisfied with just taking fabric off the bolt. The challenge this episode was especially suited to your technique of creating fabric from strips as you took a wedding gown and made it look rocker chic rather than bridal cheap. Michael Kors said the dress you created was elegant with an edge and Heidi Klum said that you made your client look gorgeous. Clearly your divorcee loved what you did as she walked the runway with confidence and verve. Dyed hands? Totally worth it! Well executed, Gordana!

This week your dress just stood out for all the right reasons. It was well-crafted, complex and yet just moved like a dream on the runway. Having chosen to create that pattern yourself meant that you had more stitching than any of your peers and selecting a sheer fabric meant French seams had to be used = twice the effort; in less-capable hands this could have been a disaster of time-management and execution. Instead Michael Kors and Zanna Roberts both commented on how this dress would be eye-catching on a rack and Heidi Klum said that she would wear it while calling it flirty and feminine. When presented with this challenge you knew immediately that you wanted the science fiction genre. You spun a fantastic tale involving an ice queen and you knew exactly how she would look and the kind of gossamer gown that she would wear. After Tim's critique, you understood that this was the time to show your skill with costume and drama and your styling and makeup further enhanced this evil beauty of your fantasies. The regal results did not leave the judges chilly; John Varvatos said the detail was spectacular and Zoe Glassner called it clever, bold and risky. Your frosty fashion was a tour de force in snowy sequins and alabaster-hued applique. Good show, Nicolas!

The unconventional challenges always test the ingenuity of the Project Runway designers. Looking at paper and creating a new fabric out of something so unforgivably fragile could be daunting but you embraced that you could scrunch the material, giving it more dimension and strength. Eva Longoria Parker announced that your coat blew her away while Zoe Glassner mentioned the clever use of the trompe l'oeil Sharpie stitches and how she loved the sleeves and the collar. Tommy Hilfiger said that it looked like "Coco Chanel meets Yves Saint Laurent meets Givenchy in the ’60's and ’70's" and, really how can you top that kind of praise?! It has to be extremely gratifying to triumph among so many other worthy candidates. Well done, Irina!

This is a classic case of synergy between model and designer. Tanisha articulated what she wanted and Althea interpreted it bringing her own aesthetic to three ambitious pieces. In less skilled hands fashioning separates in mere hours could have been disastrous. Althea provided herself formidable in the previous outings and this week she demonstrated why she should be a contender to take Season 6. Stylist Jennifer Rade said that she wanted to leave with the jacket while Heidi Klum called it very chic. Marie Claire's Zoe Glassner complimented the ensemble as being a "breath of fresh air." A suit was never less stuffy. Congratulations, Althea! Congratulations Team Harper!

We saw you struggle throughout this challenge and how you feared that you would be eliminated. You listened to Tim's concern about the original concept for your avant-garde garment and, changed the design from superhero wetsuit to neoprene mini. And at the last minute you dyed your short dress creating a new pattern that unified the looks through a color story. When your ensembles were singled out, we saw your surprise that you were in the top of the pack rather than the bottom. Rachel Bilson and Heidi Klum both said that they would wear the second look while Nina Garcia said that it made her happy. That's right - Nina was happy! Your partner acknowledged your strong contribution and, in a Project Runway first, a non-team-leader took the win. Well deserved and well played, Ra'mon-Lawrence!

As Diane von Furstenburg pointed out last week, a career can be built upon a single look and your frock this week for an expectant mother is just such a garment. There is a HUGE market out there for chic mommy-to-be outfits and, without ever having been pregnant, you instinctually keyed into the features that they want. The flattering belly detailing will look pretty at 5 months or 9 and counting. The lovely neck draping draws the eye up to the glowing face but doesn't detract from the fuller bust. Our readers worried that you were being overly ambitious with the coat but you demonstrated that in your skillful hands the additional piece would elevate this to a win. All of the judges this week would have bought this dress. Well conceived, well executed and well done!

Without formal training you should have been an underdog but in the first episode you demonstrated that instead you were a contender. Our hearts went out to you as you were visibly moved seeing your garment on the runway. You listened to Tim's advise about styling and the results paid off as we focused on all that was good about the frock from the fabric choices to the proportions to the fit. Heidi called your dress, "hip and young" while Michael termed it "cute and edgy" as well as "elegant and sharp." You nailed a red carpet look for young Hollywood or for a music industry diva; who knows what doors this win may open to this talent from Minnesota?

This was simply a cohesive collection. You managed to show us in ten pieces a range of garments that ran from dresses to shorts to trousers to gowns that were architecturally complex. They moved beautifully down the runway and your wave inspiration was clearly referenced while your restrained palette emphasized the silhouettes and impeccable execution. You took your inspiration from a cluster of roses but you avoided a literal and perhaps saccharine interpretation; instead you fashioned layers as a nod to the blossoms. You paired a sophisticated palette with luxe fabrications and created a silhouette that Nina Garcia said was youthful while Michael Kors mentioned that the gown intrigued him. You won before with the 'Rings of Glory' challenge and this week you once again demonstrated your creativity and your craftsmanship. Your metallic, distressed and bleached denim treatment was termed energetic and "right on the money" and "felt authentic" to LL Cool J. The pants looked expensive and not only fit Suede well but suited his punk persona. The top was complicated with a built-in chain detail and you cleverly added fabric insets as a nod to his pseudonym. This was your first menswear design and you took it all the way to victory. This is what a collaboration is all about - you and Jennifer brought out the best in each other. You respected your teammate in this challenge (as you also did in your previous pairing with Stella) and you employed her skills well sending a complex and risky design down the runway. Tim Gunn was dubious about your fabric selections but you had a vision and your aim was true. The look was avant garde employing multiple trims and a sophisticated silhouette while your styling was on target - a look that won acclaim from designers from previous seasons of Project Runway.
