TGIW: The Finale

This is it Runway fans! The champagne is on ice, but for whom does the cork toll? All will be revealed tonight as Kenley Collins, Korto Momolu and Leanne Marshall show their finale collections at Bryant Park. The Season 5 finale marks a bittersweet time for Bravo as well as they bid farewell to their franchise program. Team BPR will be here to help take it all in. Here's the plan:

• The BPR party room will be open at 8:00 p.m. ET for the finale blowout. One last chance to snark along with your friends across BPR land. Stop in and say hello before the place gets remodeled!
• Tbone will of course have live play by play beginning at 9:00 p.m. for everyone in the tragic position of being without Bravo. Learn who the winner is as she is announced!
• Our reactions post goes up promptly at 10:00 p.m. Let us know what you think about the winner of Season 5.

With Season 6 in legal limbo, who knows when we'll get the chance to do this again. Let's go out with a bang, shall we?

Ready or not, here it comes! The Season 5 finale kicks off tonight with the designers being sent home with one more challenge. We'll get to peek at the finale collections with the added bonus of watching Tim Gunn drive! It's always one of our favorite episodes and we'll have the usual suspects in place to cover it all:

• The BPR party room opens at its usual time, 8:00 p.m. ET. The only thing more fun than a new episode of PR is dishing about it with your fellow fanatics!

So, are you ready for a little Good Queen Fun? Tim thinks it will be "the most fabulous show in the history of Project Runway". Well, we'll have to wait to see about that but this is certainly one episode where a float in a parade might be a good thing. It promises to be great fun. Here's the BPR lineup tonight:

"Welcome to the Jungle." Tonight's episode looks like a team challenge and the team challenges always bring the drama! YAY.

Alan Gratz has examined the preview videos and come up with some surprising predictions for tonight. Do not miss the fact that The Samarai was correct in his prediction for both the winner and the loser of last week's episode. Anyone playing along on Fafarazzi (and it is never too late to sign up!) would do well simply by following Alan's advice.

Meanwhile, we are wondering how the designers will be whittled down by Fashion Week. Last season there were five designers remaining by the Wednesday of Fashion Week and we were delighted to see all five show. But unless there are a couple of double-eliminations, there will be SEVEN designers left on September 12th. Will there be a double-elimination? And when? Tonight would be a natural choice, but we hear Heidi definitely say "one of you will be out." So no double-elimination tonight. We'll watch what happens....

As the world awaits the opening of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing this week, Project Runway stages its own competition tonight in Episode 4, "Rings of Glory". Could fashion design become the next big Olympic event? Why not!

Greetings Project Runway fans, it's our favorite day of the week! Tonight the Parsons catwalk will be graced with Senator Padme' Amidala herself, aka Natalie Portman. She will be on hand this evening to guest judge Episode 2: "Grass Is Always Greener" where Tim promises us a "Runway first"! Ooh, such mystery and intrigue...

Natalie seems well suited for this season's green themed challenge, having recently put her signature on a collection of vegan inspired footwear. Let's see if the S5 designers can deliver. Here's the menu:

We are just ONE WEEK away from the most underhyped season of Project Runway ever. Soon the sewing machines will be humming away, Tim will be prowling about the workroom, Nina and MK will get all fidgety in their chairs, Heidi will be kissing designers goodbye and all will be right in the world again.

In the meantime, we'll simply watch the Brother clock on the wall and wait and wait and wait...For your preseason amusement, we point to you to longtime friend and BPR fave Rich at FourFour who has a hilarious montage of the single most overused reality show phrase. Can you guess what it is?

Two weeks and counting! It seems a little hard to believe, given the radio silence from the Bravo hype machine, that Season 5 is about to premiere. Where are the new designer bios? How about a teeny, tiny sneak peek? Nothing.

Except maybe this guy from my neck of the woods. Hmmmm.
