Tim Gunn dishes on growing up in Washington, his career and Project Runway. Click here for the full interview.
A highlight: There was a really great moment when Nina puts her hands over her eyes and tilts her head back and she says, “If I see another one-shouldered dress, I’m going to scream.” And Michael stops her and says, “Nina, how many neckline treatments are there? I can count them on one hand.” (He laughs a few times as though he’s back in the moment.) But it’s not in the show. And if you were sitting at home, wouldn’t you like to hear that?
"Lifetime is once again expanding its "Project Runway" universe."
This falls into the "We couldn't make this up" category.
Austin Scarlett and Santino Rice are going to cross the country making women over, certainly leaving a wake of diaphanous gowns behind.
According to Variety the new show was developed at Lifetime by exec veep JoAnn Alfano and will be produced by Rich Bye.
This intriguing item came to the mailbox yesterday. A highlight: ...producers have not yet publicly confirmed the name of the show said Peggy Hutton, Weatherford Chamber of Commerce secretary, and Trish Lynn, coach of the Cowgirl Chicks. The names of the two designers who worked on Project Runway’s first season are also not being released, Hutton said. And, the show will air sometime in July or August, said Lynn.
But, what is known is which Cowgirl Chick is going to get a gown made for the group’s banquet Saturday.
Surely this article is referring to the new show.
Any suggestions for a title???
The other project, tentatively titled "Love's Divine," will star Heidi Klum and her popstar husband, Seal as they travel the country counseling couples.
Heidi Klum enjoys a night out at "A Pea In The Pod" In Beverly Hills - May 26, 2010. The Project Runway host presented her Summer 2010 "Lavish" maternity collection.
A highlight: Maybe since it was "the end of the road-trip" for them--Zoe and Tim had NO PATIENCE for "I just wanna do this as a hobby..." and the "I Hate to sew and CANNOT draw...but I wanna be a fashion designer" nonsense--and trust me, they would let them "have it". Sometimes, I was the Paula Abdul of the group--or shall I say the Ellen DeGeneres-- with my "What Tim and Zoe are trying to say is..."LOL! But all in all, even Tim remarked that we may have found one of the "Best" of the entire Season 8 Casting process, here in LA. Well, we shall soon see!
Barbara Martin sends us this report from "The Front Row."
The Front Row is Bethesda Row's 3-day style event here in the Washington, DC area. Our runway event featured VIP guest Laura Bennett from Project Runway Season 3, who signed and read from her new book, "Didn't I Feed You Yesterday?: A Mother's Guide To Sanity In Stilettos," as well as High Society's Tinsley Mortimer. Christian Siriano was our VIP guest last year, and as he is from the area, his sister, Shannon Siriano, was among the guests last evening. Shannon and Laura traded Project Runway insight; Shannon also let it slip that Christian is designing the dress for her June wedding, and that she hasn't even laid eyes on it yet!

Season 7 came to a close a few weeks ago and it was the first finale in 5 seasons I didn't walk in on tv! I did have a great time being a model in a decoy collection for Jesse and seeing a lot of familiar faces, as well as making new friends. And I'd never want to pass up walking in a fashion show in Bryant Park! In fact, it was my last one there - because New York fashion week will change venues this September - as many of you know - to Lincoln Center.
I couldn't be more proud of Kristina for winning - she is with the same agency as I am here in LA: LA Models! The runway division boasts 11 models from past seasons on Project Runway. Recently in Orange County, five of us participated in the Art Institute's "Rock the Runway" fashion show and event, walking in the fashion show and we even had an autograph session!
Here is what we signed for the lovely fans You will notice that Saleisha from ANTM was there too!
