Catching up with Kara Saun

Nancy T caught up with Project Runway Season One finalist, Kara Saun backstage at the finale of America's Best Dance Crew.
Kara Saun is the lead costume designer for the show. In one week she designed and created three different costume changes for the top two crews as well as new costumes for the seven crews who performed in the finale. Thanks Nancy T!

Alex and Simon of Real Housewives NYC

Backstage after the Malan Breton show at Fashion Week we caught up with Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen, stars of the hit Bravo reality show, 'The Real Housewives of New York City.' They made a point of coming backstage to congratulate Malan on his beautiful collection. They were gracious and charming and they were being filmed for Season 2 of their show.

Immediately after the Malan Breton show, reality worlds collide as the 'Make Me a Supermodel' finalist joined the beautiful Amanda Fields, BPR reporter and memorable Project Runway Season 3 model.

The Minx and I ran into Shear Genius Season Two Stylists Glenn Mitchell and Gail Soifer at Emmett McCarthy's boutique on Thursday. They graciously posed for photos in Emmett's designs. These girls are gorgeous aren't they?

We also enjoyed a delicious meal at Harold Dieterle's Perilla restaurant. The Top Chef winner was a little shy, but the food was delicious. Malan Breton and Amanda Fields joined us for an early dinner on Wednesday. Red more about our meal here.

Top Design premieres next Wednesday night at 10:00 - after Project Runway. I've watched the first episode of the new series and I found the designers and the new host, India Hicks, to be very compelling.

Reality Worlds Collide

Tonight at 10 pm Eastern 'Flipping Out' Season Two premieres and in the first episode we meet 'New Chris.'



Who is New Chris and how is he related to Project Runway? New Chris is actually Chris Keslar, friend of BPR and brother to none other than Season Three designer Angela Keslar.


Chris had served as a 'field reporter' for us when Angela was at Macy's (click here). And he also joined Laura K. with Heather Ashton and Andrea Keller from Top Design (more colliding!) at a lunch at The Standard Hotel during casting of Season 4 of Project Runway (click here).

Just wanted to give Chris a shout-out on BPR and say that we can't wait to 'watch what happens' on the new season!
